Growing Up in Ireland Research Conference 2009
Growing Up in Ireland’s inaugural Research Conference was held on Monday 7th December 2009 in Dublin Castle. Click here to see the Conference Brochure.
The aim of the one-day conference was to:
- present research findings from the study
- examine the contribution of the study to our understanding of children and childhood in Ireland
- consider the study’s research and policy potential and place it in an international context
The conference was opened by Mr Barry Andrews T.D., the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs who officially launched the first major report from the study on the Child Cohort, Growing Up in Ireland – The Lives of 9-Year-Olds (click here to download the full report and executive summary).
